An ode to the original 3D primitive. Primitive explores the notions of the stoned ape theory by Terence McKenna. Were psilocybin mushrooms the "evolutionary catalyst" from which language, projective imagination, the arts, religion, philosophy, science, and all of human culture sprang? What would they have experienced during these first psychedelic voyages? Primitive explores the use of the dome to its full potential: guiding the audience through different trajectories, scales, geometric objects, figurative and abstract notions of time and space.
An ordinary astronaut, an ordinary space-walk which turns into an extraordinary mission into the belly of the beast. VISIT challenges certain cinematic aspects when creating for fulldome, including 1st person to 3rd person transitions, exploring techniques in guiding the audience through different levels of immersion and a stunning narrative through imagery.
